do not call it fixity..., 1996

16mm film

do not call it fixity… is an experimental dancefilm that explores the idea of temporal and spatial fracturing in light, text and movement. Poetically brief, it uses text, inspired by TS Eliot’s poem, ‘Burnt Norton’ to elucidate its theme of fixed and non-fixed movement. Created originally for the camera, the form and intent of do not call it fixity… is an exploration of light, dance, music and editing.
